After much effort I have gathered
and carried home flowers.
to decorate and garland You,

These flowers
shall I thread upon my garland:
frangipani and fallen bakul blossoms,
interspersed with kadamba flowers.

I danced into the forest,
having braided up my tresses,
my mind absorbed in Your thought.
For You alone did I arrange my flower-laden tray.

Laughing, I returned home from the forest;
as visions of Your loving gaze still danced before my eyes.
When there was no one on this earth,

You alone existed.
That is why, in meditation,
I adore You.
